​COVID19 Struggle and Personal Protective Equipment

There are two basic types of masks that our people can use during the COVID19 Pandemic process. These masks are Particulate Filtered Face Masks and Medical Face Masks.

There are many manufacturers that turn to mask production due to the intense need. It is clear that producer initiatives should be supported in order to meet the need. On the other hand, the suitability of these masks for the intended use is also of great importance. There are standards and regulations that these masks are subject to in terms of compliance with their intended use.

1. Particulate Filter Face Masks 

(Also known as N95 or Dust mask in public.)

a. Standard to which: TS EN 149 A1

b. Legislation: Personal Protective Equipment Regulation - Category 3

c. Conformity Control Mechanism: It must bear a CE Mark with a Notified Body number. (For example CE 2163)

2. Medical Face Masks

 
 

(Also known as 3-layer surgical masks in public.)

a. Standard to which: TS EN 14683 AC

b. Legislation: Medical Device Regulation - Class 1

c. Conformity Control Mechanism: It must bear the CE Mark. (It does not need to bear a Notified Body number)

3. Coveralls

Our company, as a Notified Body authorized by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services and the European Commission within the scope of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation, has mobilized all its possibilities in this period when the need for personal protective equipment is of vital importance and informs the producers about the features that these products should have and consumers. In terms of providing suitable products to our people, it fulfills the task of thinking on it.


Conformity control mechanisms for both Particulate Filter Masks, Medical Face Masks and Coveralls have been created with the cooperation we have made with our laboratories in this challenging process, and it is aimed to offer the required functional masks to the use of our public.
